Hi, I’m Farah!

I am a writer, teacher, doula, and witch. I offer virtual tarot readings and craft customized spell jars shipping across the United States. I am currently available for birth and postpartum support throughout the Los Angeles area.

I completed my DONA certified training at Bini Birth in Sherman Oaks and have studied uterine massage, rebozo, and a range of other bodywork modalities. In addition to birth doula services, I offer overnight newborn care, in-home pelvic wrapping, and postpartum meal delivery. I have worked in childcare as a nanny, after-school program leader, camp counselor, and teaching artist, as well as an au pair in Brisbane, Australia. I received my Bachelor’s in Literature and Writing from UC San Diego in 2016 and recently completed my MFA in Creative Writing from the California Institute of the Arts, where I was a Teaching Assistant in the School of Critical Studies.

I recently wrote a poetry book titled Dreamphone, which loosely follows a narrative based on Persephone’s mythical journey into the underworld, told through the metaphor of a mermaid transformation. I grew up by the sea in Monterey, California, and the ocean has always been integral to my healing, my creativity, and my ability to feel grounded and embodied. I chose the name “Sea Priestess Doula” for my practice because it reflects the intuitive nature of birth and channels the transformative power of water.
